This website features resources for use by nurses in their efforts against COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2. These resources aim to support nurses from diverse backgrounds, including low- and middle-income countries, and are included in multiple languages when possible. As COVID-19 information is rapidly changing, new resources will continue to be added to the site. Scholarly literature related to COVID-19 is available here: LitCovid. The LitCovid database provides a current, and growing, list of all peer-reviewed scientific literature related to COVID-19. The curated list can be filtered by topic, and searched by terms such as “nurs*” to more quickly find articles of interest.

  • Cleaning and Disinfecting Households

    Recommendations on the cleaning and disinfection of households where persons under investigation (PUI) or those with confirmed COVID-19 reside or may be in self-isolation. It is aimed at limiting the survival of the virus in these environments.

  • Mental health and psychosocial considerations during COVID-19

    This guidance includes messaging that can be used to help support mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to English, it is available in Arabic, French, Russian, and Spanish.

  • Ethical framework for health care institutions

    Designed for use within a health care institution’s preparedness work, supplementing public health and clinical practice guidance on COVID-19. It aims to help structure ongoing discussion of significant, foreseeable ethical concerns arising under contingency levels of care and potentially crisis standards of care.

  • Moral distress in times of crisis

    This PDF includes guidance for institutions for helping nurses cope, as well as offering suggestions to nurses on how to cope with the moral challenges of this pandemic.

  • Daily life and coping

    Information on household checklists, living in close quarters and shared housing, caring for children, as well as pets and other animals.
