This website features resources for use by nurses in their efforts against COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2. These resources aim to support nurses from diverse backgrounds, including low- and middle-income countries, and are included in multiple languages when possible. As COVID-19 information is rapidly changing, new resources will continue to be added to the site. Scholarly literature related to COVID-19 is available here: LitCovid. The LitCovid database provides a current, and growing, list of all peer-reviewed scientific literature related to COVID-19. The curated list can be filtered by topic, and searched by terms such as “nurs*” to more quickly find articles of interest.

  • Sharing and Shifting Tasks to Maintain Essential Healthcare During COVID-19 in Low Resource, non-US settings

    Includes task shifting and task sharing as two approaches to expand and ensure access to essential health services by optimizing the use of the existing healthcare workforce: task shifting and task sharing. These approaches allow for the shifting of tasks from highly qualified healthcare workers (HCWs) to HCWs with less training and less qualifications. This allows for more efficient use of available human resources working in overburdened health systems during the COVID-19 pandemic.

    This PDF guide is designed to support community health workers and community organizations supporting home-based care for COVID-19 patients in low- and middle-income countries. The guide is updated regularly.

    This website offers information about diagnostic, serologic, infection prevention, and treatment guidelines for COVID-19. It also includes emerging issues such as current drug regimens, and antibody testing.

    This website includes a list of resources, both text and video, that may be relevant to refugee healthcare providers. Many of the listed resources are available in multiple languages.

  • COVID-19: Effective Nursing in Times of Crisis

    This free two-week virtual course, led by Johns Hopkins University, Jhpiego, and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, describes nursing during the COVID-19 pandemic, and includes learnings from nurses working in resource-constrained settings.

  • Recommendations for Improving National Nurse Preparedness for Pandemic Response: Early Lessons from COVID-19

    This free report identifies existing gaps in the US national nursing workforce, and discusses policies and recommendations for strengthening national nursing workforces, including pandemic preparedness. It also identifies stakeholders at various levels who can help implement such policies.
